ALMOND SLICE
Ingredients:
4oz self raising flour
2oz margarine
1 egg
4oz sugar
1 teaspoon almond essence
small amount milk
Mix well
Method:
Line a pie dish with shortcrust pastry
Spread jam over pastry.
Spread mixture over the top.
Sprinkle the top with flaked almonds.
Bake for approx. 30
mins at Gas 5 or 190°C / 375°F,
until golden brown.
