BASIC SHORTCRUST PASTRY
Ingredients:
4oz self raising flour
2 oz lard / Trex / White Flora
Method:
Rub fat into flour with fingertips until the mixture is like breadcrumbs.
Add cold water, a bit at a time, and mix with a knife.
When the mixture comes together as a ball, roll out and line your dish.
