TOFFEE
Ingredients:
1lb brown sugar
¾lb margarine
1 large tin of condensed milk
½ lb treacle
½ teaspoon vanilla essence
Pinch salt
Method:
Boil all ingredients together for approx 20 minutes
(or until a bit of mixture dropped into cold water goes hard)
If mixture is still soft, continue boiling
When tested in cold water, mixture goes hard, pour into well greased tin
Place in fridge for at least 2 hours
** DO NOT LET CHILDREN MAKE THIS UNSUPERVISED – BOILING TOFFEE IS VERY DANGEROUS **
